Costa Mesa-based tickets.com inked a multiyear deal with the Baltimore Orioles to sell tickets to sporting and special events at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The Orioles will be among 16 major League Baseball teams that will use the company’s online and mobile ticket system for sales in 2013.
The team is coming off one of its most memorable seasons in history after reaching the playoffs for the first time since 1997, only to lose to the New York Yankees in the opening round.
Its 93 wins were tied for seventh most in the majors with the Texas Rangers.
The Orioles drew more than 2.1 million fans at Camden Yards last season, the team’s highest attendance since 2007.
The team joins the Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins and New York Mets as the latest baseball clubs to sign a deal with tickets.com.
