T-Mobile Completes Mint Mobile Acquisition

Also includes Ultra Mobile, Plum

T-Mobile US Inc. (Nasdaq: TMUS) said today it has completed its $1.35 billion acquisition that includes prepaid wireless brand Mint Mobile of Costa Mesa.

The purchase of parent company Ka’ena Corporation also includes internationally-focused value brand Ultra Mobile and wholesale wireless solutions provider Plum, in addition to Mint.

The deal was first announced in March 2023 but had to clear regulatory approval.

T-Mobile, based in Bellevue, Wash., said today it made a commitment that Mint Mobile will continue to have a $15 per month plan available for new and existing customers.

In another offering Mint says on its website: “Our low-cost cell phone plan with full service activation exclusively for those 55 & up.”
