OC Affiliate Honors Women-Owned Businesses

The National Association of Women Business Owners-Orange County chapter (NAWBO-OC) has announced its 2012-2013 board of directors, including:

President: Loreen Gilbert, WealthWise Financial Services

President Elect: Laura Neubauer, Deliver-It!

Past President: Maureen Rhyne, Heritage Associates, Inc.

Secretary: Stephanie McMackin, SLM Solutions, LLC

Treasurer: Kathleen Urquidez, Besich, Rose, & Urquidez

Strategy and Board Development: Kimberly Gerber, Excelerate; Patti Cain-Stanley, Cain-Stanley & Co., Inc.

VP Membership: Trina Fleming, Women Helping Women/Men2Work

VP Corporate Partners: Lorie Eber, JD, Gerontologist, Certified Personal Trainer

VP Professional Development: Dee Elliott, King Relocation

VP Programs: Christina Henderson, Merrill Lynch

VP Community Relations: Manal Richa, The MarCom Network

VP Technology: Kathy Hills, Krush Creative

VP Marketing: Helane Cohen, Microsoft

Peggy Fu of Focus Business Law Group and Erin Giglia of Montage Legal Group LLC will serve as NAWBO-OC’s legal counsel.

NAWBO also will honor three Orange County women business owners at its 17th annual Remarkable Women Awards held at the City National Grove of Anaheim on Oct. 16.

The honorees will be: Lisa Dale, CEO and founder of Seabreeze Management Company Inc., Lifetime Achievement; Laurie Rowen, cofounder of Montage Legal Group, Entrepreneur to Watch; and Jerri Rosen, CEO and founder of Working Wardrobes, Philanthropic Champion.

The organization honors women business leaders who have “demonstrated success, leadership and passion in their chosen fields.”

Honorees were selected through a nomination and review process and represent companies ranging from start-up businesses to large, established corporations.

NAWBO-OC was founded in 1991 and provides business and professional development, informational resources, educational programs and workshops, networking and strategic relationships for about 300 women-owned businesses. The Orange County chapter is the largest NAWBO chapter affiliate in the country.
