Chip startup company Mobix Labs has completed a $10 million seed round of financing, Chief Executive Fabian Battaglia said, adding that Peterson Capital Group co-founder Jim Peterson has been named chairman of the board.
The seed round will fund the launch of innovative 5G millimeter wave solutions, Battaglia told the Business Journal today.
“We have added Jim Peterson as chairman of the board along with Rick Goerner to the board of directors,” according to Battaglia. Both Goerner and Peterson count past executive ties to Microsemi Corp.
Battaglia added: “We are actively adding R&D staff at our Irvine based design center. We are also in the process of establishing a global sales and applications team.”
