The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.09% to 16,558.33, while the Nasdaq was off 0.92% to 4,236.97.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond slipped 0.71% to 2.78%.
The price of gold fell 0.33% to $1,286.40 per ounce.
SERVICES
Irvine-based professional services firm Resources Connection Inc. fell about 6% to $13.87 for a market value of $541.50 million. The company reported results for the quarter ended Feb. 22 that beat consensus estimates on profit while falling short of revenue expectations.
RESTAURANTS
Huntington Beach-based BJ’s Restaurants Inc. was off about 4% to $31.55 for a market value of $894.57 million. Restaurant operators were trading down on Thursday.
MEDIA
Irvine-based Autobytel Inc. fell back about 8% to $13.84, a day after rising about 15%, when the company raised its first-quarter revenue guidance. Autobytel, which runs several websites that provide auto dealer leads and information to prospective car buyers, had a recent market value of $123.29 million.
