The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.6% to 27,407.65.
The Nasdaq dipped 0.1% to 11,105.23.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 3% to 0.643%.
The price of gold increased almost 0.9% to $1,898.80.
The price for a barrel of oil dropped 4.8% to $38.66.
HEALTHCARE
Irvine-based medical device company Axonics Modulation Technologies Inc (Nasdaq: AXNX) rose 7% to $49.13 per share for a market cap of just over $1.9 billion. Analyst website InsiderMonkey.com said earlier today the company has “experienced an increase in enthusiasm from smart money lately.”
RESTAURANTS
BJ’s Restaurants (Nasdaq: BJRI) in Huntington Beach dropped 5.9% to $29.15 a share for a market cap of $649 million. The shares have fallen 11% since Wednesday though Zack’s Equity Research said earlier today it still sees momentum left for increases in the share price.
