Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.2% to 3,356.99 during midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.9% to 27,690.75, while the Nasdaq was down 0.2% to 10,989.53.

Crude oil rose 2.5% to $42.25 a barrel.

Gold ticked 0.7% higher to $2,041 an ounce.

The yield on a 10-year bond was up 1.8% to 0.57%.

TECHNOLOGY

Shares for Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) continued to decrease Monday after sharp declines last week, prompted by the company’s warnings of “significant headwinds” to business in the coming quarters. Shares for the Irvine data analytics software maker dropped 8% during midday trading to $111.75 and a $7.3 billion market cap, with shares down 37% in the last week. Shares are currently trading at more than four times their average volume.

Irvine-based Lantronix Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX) led Monday gains for Orange County tech stocks, with shares up 11% to $4.94 and a $138 million market cap. Shares, currently trading at twice their average volume, are up nearly 15% since Thursday, when the company, which manufactures chips for the Internet of Things, said it expects fourth quarter net revenues to be between $17.1 and $17.6 million, up 68% to 73% from last year.
