Oil slipped 0.4% to $41.75.
The price of gold rose 1.3% to $1,868.

Shares of Edwards Lifesciences Corp. (NYSE: EW) climbed 3% to $78.22 and a $50 billion market cap, the largest in Orange County. Zacks Equity Research today said the Irvine heart valve maker is posed to beat earnings when it reports second quarter results after the markets close on July 23rd. Shares are up 16% since July 13th.
HOME BUILDERS
Aliso Viejo-based New Home Co. Inc. (NYSE: NWHM) rose 7.1% to $4.53 and an $82 million market cap. The shares are up 33% since July 15 and more than four fold from a 52-week low of 94 cents on March 23. The company is scheduled to report second quarter earnings after the market closes on July 23rd.
