TECHNOLOGY
Veritone, Inc. (Nasdaq: VERI) rose a massive 16% to $16 a share with a $439 million market cap. Shares of the company were trading at 1.2 million shares compared to the daily average of 768,000. The shares have risen seven-fold since March 14. Veritone is a Costa Mesa-based software company trying to break into artificial intelligence in the media advertising space.
Alteryx Inc., (NYSE: AYX) moved up 6.4% to $160.74 a share with a $10.6 billion market cap. Irvine-based Alteryx, a provider of data analytics software, was Investor Business Daily’s stock of the day yesterday. The shares have doubled since April 4.
HEALTHCARE
Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) leapt 8.2% to $5.44 a share with a $183 million market cap. Shares of the Newport Beach-based Evolus, a provider of wrinkle remover medications, have risen about 54% since March 14.
