The price of crude oil rose 2% to $16.83.
Gold was off 0.8% to $1,731.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 1.8% to 0.6%.
HEALTHCARE
Orange County healthcare-related real estate firms were trading generally down on Friday, led by San Juan Capistrano nursing home operator Ensign Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG). Ensign shares were off 3.7% to $36.42 for a market cap of $1.9 billion.
Irvine-based Sabra Healthcare REIT Inc. (Nasdaq: SBRA) shares slipped 2.5% to $11.46 for a market value of $2.4 billion. Irvine healthcare REIT Healthpeak Properties Inc. (NYSE: PEAK) was down less than 1% to $24.15 for a market capitalization of $12 billion.

TRI Pointe Group Inc. (NYSE: TPH) shares rose 5.8% to $10.21, a day after the Irvine land developer and homebuilder reported better-than-expected results for the first quarter. The company had a recent market cap of $1.4 billion.
