Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was flat at 2,996.78 during midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.2 % to 27,021.76.

The Nasdaq was flat at 8,155.04.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 1.8% to 1.807%.

The price of gold increased 0.2% to $1.514.70.

The price for a barrel of oil plunged 4.2% to $60.29.

RESTAURANTS

Fast-casual restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) of Newport Beach rose 3% to $823.70 per share for a market cap of $22.8 billion, after announcing that it will add “carne asada” thin steak slices to its menu nationwide. Reuters reported it was the first steak addition to the menu in three years, and would be offered for a limited period of time.

TECHNOLOGY

Chipmaker Skyworks Solutions Inc. of Irvine (Nasdaq: SWKS) fell 2.7% to $79.81 per share for a market cap of $13.7 billion. SeekingAlpha said the shares slipped following a report that the company may lose its 5G deal with Samsung.
