Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 rose 0.7% to 3,023.16 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial was flat at 27,149.70.

Nasdaq jumped 1.1% to 8,327.86.

Crude oil was flat at $56 a barrel.

The price of gold increased 0.3% to $1,419 an ounce.

The current yield on 10-Year US Treasury bond was flat at 2.07%.

REAL ESTATE

CoreLogic Inc. (Nasdaq: CLGX) rose. 3.9% to $44.67 and a $3.6 billion market cap. Shares fell 8.9% yesterday after the Irvine-based supplier of real estate data reported an unexpected GAAP net loss.

FINANCE

Pacific Premier Bancorp (Nasdaq: PPBI) climbed 2.5% to $31.70 and a $1.9 billion market cap, the most valuable publicly traded bank based in Orange County. The shares have climbed 5.3% since reporting second quarter results on July 23.
