The price of gold fell 0.3% to $1,274.
The price of oil climbed 0.9% to $66.16 a barrel.
HEALTHCARE
Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) was up 7.1% to $4.62 and a $259 million market cap. Shares in the Tustin contract drug manufacturer are trading at half their average daily volume. The Nasdaq Health Care Index today is up 2.3% to 803.66 while the S&P 500 Health Care Sector also rose 1.9% to 1,012.65.
RETAIL
Irvine-based retailer Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) jumped 6.5% to $11.83 and a market cap of $349 million. Tilly’s traded the highest today among a peer group of 10 other companies. The shares are up 16% since sinking to a 52-week low last December.
