Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.3% in midday trading to 2,889.07.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.1% to 26,409.43.

The Nasdaq rose 0.5% to 7,933.42.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 0.3% to 2.50%.

The price of oil climbed 0.9% to $62.64 a barrel.

The price of gold was up 0.2% to $1,296.

RETAIL

Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine was up 6.4% to $31.50 and an $892 million market cap. S&P Dow Jones Indices yesterday said Boot Barn will replace PS Business Parks, a real estate investment trust, in the S&P SmallCap 600. Boot Barn will be part of the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS Apparel Retail SubIndustry Index.

HEALTHCARE

Evolus Inc. (Nasdaq: EOLS) in Irvine rose 4.2% to $24.93 and a $680 million market cap. Volume of 315,000 was about a quarter of the daily average of the past three months. The shares have climbed 27% since March 27. The company on April 1 said it expects sometime this quarter to publish the results of its “highly anticipated” head-to-head competition against Botox.
