TECHNOLOGY
Lantronix Inc. (Nasdaq: LTRX) in Irvine skyrocketed more than 22% to $3.14 and a $70 million market cap. The networking products maker yesterday announced that former Microsemi Corp. President Paul Pickle will take the role of chief executive on April 22. Pickle, who briefly served in the same position at Dana Point startup Zott Inc., replaces interim CEO Jeremy Whitaker, the company’s chief financial officer.
FINANCE
Pacific Premier Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: PPBI) increased 3.2% to $25.73 and a $1.6 billion market cap. Shares in the Irvine bank are up 12% since hitting a 52-week low of $23.01 on Dec. 24.
