The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 0.1% to 2.82%.
The price of gold was up 1.6% to $1,213.
HEALTHCARE
Avid Bioservices Inc. (Nasdaq: CDMO) was up 7.7% to $6.19 and a $347 million market cap. Avid is a contract drug manufacturer. The share price has almost doubled since June 21.
RESTAURANTS
Casual dining chain BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: BJRI) in Huntington Beach rose 5.1% to $74.45 and a market cap of $1.56 billion. Zacks Equity Research said the shares, even though they have doubled in the past year, have “the potential to carry on the momentum in the near term as well.”
