Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.9% in midday trading to 2,760.77.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.5% to 24,491.94.

The Nasdaq was up 1.3% to 7,682.54.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond declined 0.2% to 2.84%.

The price of gold was 0.3% lower to $1,255.

RETAIL

Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine was up 5.8% to $23.29 and a $642 million market cap. It bought the two-unit Drysdales Inc. western wear chain in Tulsa. Boot Barn has 232 stores in 31 states.

SERVICES

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) in Newport Beach was up 1.4% to a $485 million market cap. Shares were recovering after yesterday’s 15% decline following a Raymond James analyst expressing skepticism about the market’s reaction to an investment in Clean Energy Fuels by a global natural gas giant.
