Huntington Beach-based medical supply distributor A-Med Health Care Inc. has been sold to Byram Healthcare Centers Inc. for an undisclosed price.
White Plains, N.Y.-based Byram is a unit of Mediq NV of the Netherlands.
Mediq delivers medical devices, drugs and related services to patients in their homes.
A-Med sold its specialty pharmacy division in June to Palo Alto-based private equity firm Altamont Capital Partners. Altamont then created a new company from that division, Modern Healthcare.
Los Angeles-based Intrepid Investment Bankers LLC acted as A-Med’s financial advisor on the Altamont and Byram deals.
