Clean Energy Fuels in Newport Beach said second-quarter revenue climbed to $102.6 million, increasing 5% over the same period a year earlier and topping analysts’ estimates.
The company said it sold 61.4 million gallons of renewable natural gas in the period, for a 7.5% increase.
“RNG remains the most immediate and cost-effective clean transportation fuel, as we see continued strong demand reflected in our solid second quarter results. The production of RNG was also recognized as a viable common-sense solution in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act which should be a nice tail wind going forward,” CEO Andrew Littlefair said in a statement announcing the results.
The shares rose 2% to $2.08 apiece in after-hours trading with a market cap of $451 million.
