The Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine has pushed back its opening date to July 10 citing construction delays due to supply chain issues, according to officials.
Reconstructed in the city’s Great Park, the water park was originally set to open last week on June 20. The estimated $60 million project began construction last July.
Wild Rivers officials emailed guests on Tuesday announcing the postponement and offering refunds and rescheduling for ticket holders.
The original location closed in 2011, and the new theme park spans 20 acres with 20 rides and three restaurants.
