JWA Starts Service to Hawaii

United Airlines has launched a daily nonstop service between John Wayne Airport and Honolulu, marking the route’s return after a nearly nine-year hiatus.

The daily route, first announced by the airline in February, will depart at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at 11:30 a.m. The return flight departs at 12:50 p.m. and lands at 9:10 p.m. in Orange County.

The last time nonstop service was offered between Orange County and Hawaii was in 2012, when United halted its service.

Hawaii has a mandatory 10-day quarantine in place for tourists without proof of a negative test.
