Air carrier JSX will relocate its operations from ACI Jet’s leasehold at John Wayne Airport to Jay’s Aircraft Maintenance this month.
Approved by the Orange County board of supervisors, the Dallas-based public charter jet operator will operate from a new base at 3000 Airway Avenue with flight operations set to return by March 25.
JSX said the move will provide “expanded access” to its flights.
“Our new home at John Wayne Airport is a testament to the collaborative spirit of our partners at JWA, the County of Orange, and local stakeholders,” Chief Executive Alex Wilcox said in a statement.
“As the County embarks on its $700 million in capital improvements, we remain committed to offering the best options for our millions of customers while protecting what we love about our airport,” Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley added.
John Wayne Airport reported 11.1 million total passengers in 2024, down 5.6% from the year before, while total aircraft operations grew 22.5% to 334,554.
