The $25 million renovation of the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel will be completed this fall as the property plans to reopen under a new name, Knott’s Hotel.
Upgrades to the 322-room hotel in Buena Park were made to its common areas, conference rooms, event space and guest rooms. These updates were made to highlight the roles of theme park founders Walter and Cordelia Knott, according to officials.
The renovations reflect “our commitment to offering the current spaces, amenities and services that locals, visitors and guests are looking for,” General Manager Don Prescott said in a statement.
Changes also include new culinary options and a new restaurant, Thirty Acres Kitchen and Bar. Another dining addition is The Pantry coffee shop neighboring the expanded gift shop.
A new outdoor courtyard will also debut as part of the revamp of its 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
The Knott’s Berry Farm theme park is one of 13 properties under parent Cedar Fair (NYSE: FUN) which has a current market cap of $2.3 billion. For more on Knott’s and Cedar Fair, see the May 22 print edition of the Business Journal.
