Automakers, car enthusiasts and media gathered at the Anaheim Convention Center for the Sept. 22-25 run of the annual Orange County International Auto Show.
The event showcased more than 400 cars from automakers from around the world, including some of the largest with U.S. headquarters here.
Local automakers with floor space included South Korea-based Hyundai Kia Automotive Group’s Hyundai Motor America Inc., which has its main office in Costa Mesa while a new headquarters is being built in Fountain Valley, and Irvine-based Kia Motors America Inc.

Mazda North American Operations, headquartered in Irvine, was also at the show.
Newport Beach-based Orange County Automobile Dealers Association owns the show, which is produced by Harrisburg, Pa.-based Motor Trend Auto Shows LLC.
Attendees had the chance to preview automakers’ 2012 lineups and test drive more than 40 models.
A separate area, called Camp Jeep Anaheim, included miniature Power Wheel Jeeps for kids to test drive.
Appearances were made by the L.A. Lakers Girls, Anaheim Bolts indoor soccer team, OC Roller Girls and other.
Special entertainment included a Hooters chicken wing eating contest and a special Anaheim Ducks area with games and activities.
