16,000 attendees are expected at an automobile auction at Anaheim Convention Center this weekend.

The Mecum Collector Car Auction expects 750 cars from sellers in 20 states, along with the local and out-of-state buyers and aficionados.

The auto show and auction of muscle cars, hot rods and classics is Nov. 17 to 19.

Cars for sale this year include a 1957 Ford Thunderbird, two 1968 Pontiac Firebirds and a 1969 Shelby GT500 Fastback.

Last year’s event had about 20,000 attendees and $14 million in sales on 800 cars from 16 states.

General adult admission is $30 to $60; bidder access and admission is $100 to $200.

The auction is broadcast on NBC Sports Network for 13½ hours, which includes 3½ hours of live auction coverage.

Mecum Auction Co. in Walworth, Wisconsin, offers about 15,000 cars a year at 22 auctions in several states.
