Agenda Items

Orange County action sports apparel brands made a strong showing during the Agenda trade show’s run Jan. 5 and 6 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

The show drew more than 500 brands, including Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver Inc., the various brands in Irvine-based La Jolla Group’s portfolio of licensees, Costa Mesa-based Volcom Inc. and many others.

More than 10,000 retail buyers and press were in attendance.

Los Angeles-based Agenda LLC’s show is one of the largest on the West Coast for apparel and accessory companies that take inspiration from surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding.

The show was the largest to date, taking up nearly 250,000 square feet of space. The larger area allowed all of the exhibitors to set up booths in the same room. Prior Agenda shows in other locations, including Anaheim and Huntington Beach, divided exhibitors among several rooms.

The Primer portion of the show for startup clothing and accessory companies made a comeback this year, with more than 50 brands exhibiting.

Up next for Agenda is New York.
