Irvine-based Vizio Holding Corp. (NYSE: VZIO) has partnered with entertainment trade publication Variety on a weekly news program set to debut Friday.
The program, called “The Take,” will include a roundup of the week’s major headlines and will be hosted by Variety senior correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister and awards editor Clayton Davis.
The video series will be posted to Variety’s website, YouTube and social media. Vizio’s SmartCast TVs are also expected to have the series available this month and August.
Vizio shares were trading up about 1% to $25.59 in midday trading Wednesday. The company had a recent market cap of $4.7 billion.
