TAE Technologies, the Foothill Ranch-based company that’s seeking to create nearly limitless fusion energy, has started a joint venture with the U.K.’s national fusion laboratory “to commercialize TAE’s proprietary particle accelerator technology for the global market.”
The arrangement will develop neutral beams for fusion and accelerator innovations for non-fusion applications, creating high-skilled jobs and establishing a critical supply chain, according to the two organizations.
“The venture aims to design, develop, and ultimately manufacture and service neutral beams for a wide range of fusion approaches, as well as adapt the accelerator technology for state-of-the-art cancer therapeutics, and other applications like food safety and homeland security,” the companies said.
