A private equity consortium led by Insight Partners and Clearlake Capital Group is in “advanced talks” to take Irvine-based data analytics software company Alteryx private for around $5 billion, including debt, Reuters reported.
The news agency quoted “people familiar with the matter.”
Insight and Clearlake are in discussions to pay more than $50 per share in cash for Alteryx (NYSE: AYX), the sources said in a report published yesterday, cautioning that the negotiations have not been completed. Alteryx was trading at $48.05 per share for a market cap of $3.3 billion as of midday today.
Reuters reported in September that Alteryx was exploring a sale.
The company’s shares reached $158.62 apiece for a market cap of $10.1 billion in February 2020.
