Michael Phipps has been appointed president and chief operating officer of Cypress-basedÂ
Christie Digital Systems Inc. and its subsidiaries, effective immediately, according to parent company Ushio Inc. of Tokyo.
He succeeds Hideaki Onishi, who will be returning to Ushio Japan.
Phipps joined Christie in 2008 and served as Christie’s chief financial officer since 2019.
Christie specializes in audiovisual technology.
