Movandi in Irvine Names CFO

Movandi Corp., a 5G wireless technology equipment maker in Irvine, said it has named Broadcom alumnus Bill Ruehle its chief financial officer.

Ruehle served most recently as financial chief of Bitvore, which applies artificial intelligence to the finance services industry. His previous experience includes leading “two very successful IPOs and many acquisitions in the tech sector,” according to Movandi.

He served as senior vice president and CFO at chipmaker Broadcom from June 1997 to September 2006, according to his LinkedIn profile.

“With Bill’s extensive background spanning both semiconductor and system technology companies for numerous fast-growing companies, Bill is an ideal fit for Movandi as we further solidify our position as the leader in 5G,” said Maryam Rofougaran, CEO and co-founder of Movandi.

Ruehle said this is the second time he has had the opportunity to work with Maryam Rofougaran and her brother Reza Rofougaran, also a Movandi co-founder. The siblings are former Broadcom executives.

“I was first introduced to Maryam and Reza when I acquired their company Innovent while at Broadcom in 2000 and watched them grow Broadcom’s wireless business to over a billion dollars and shipping billions of radios per year,” Ruehle said in the statement announcing his appointment.
