The S&P 500 was flat at 3,944.09 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1% to 32,810.84, while the Nasdaq increased 0.4% to 13,372.00.

Crude oil decreased 0.3% to $65.44 a barrel.

Gold was up 0.4% to $1,727.10.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury fell 1.6% to 1.61%.

TECHNOLOGY
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq: CLNE) in Newport Beach increased 4.6% to $14.87 per share for a market cap of $3.1 billion. Shares for OC’s largest public clean tech firm have surged 490% in the past six months, largely outperforming the industry’s 18% growth, according to Zacks investment research.

MANUFACTURING
Foothill Ranch-based Kaiser Aluminum Corp. (Nasdaq: KALU) decreased 4.5% to $119.77 a share for a market cap of $1.9 billion. Shares of Kaiser Aluminum, which makes specialty aluminum products for aerospace and automotive companies, are trading at less than half their average volume.
