Lightning Motorcycle of San Jose has started selling a model using battery technology developed by Irvine-based Enevate.
The LS218 motorcycle traveled 710 miles in one day, Enevate said in a statement today.The first fast-charge production model was sold last month.
“Our partnership with Lightning continues to grow and mature. Together we have developed the world’s first application of silicon anode fast charge technology,”  Enevate CEO Bob Kruse said.
Price for the LS218 starts at $38,988.
