Epicor Software Corp. said Wednesday it sees third-quarter results coming in higher than expected.
The company said it is seeing strong sales of Epicor 9, a suite of business software that helps midsize companies manage accounting, customer contacts, inventory, sales and other tasks.
Epicor, which is set to report results on Oct. 28, said it now sees adjusted profits at the high end of its prior guidance of $8.2 million to $9.5 million.
Analysts on average expect a profit of $8.8 million, up about 8% from a year earlier.
Epicor said it sees revenue coming in at $109 million to $111 million, up from an earlier forecast of $106 million to $108 million.
Wall Street is looking for sales of $106.6 million, up 8% from a year earlier.
The company said it expects quarterly software license revenue of $19 million to $20 million, up 40% to 45% from a year earlier.
It’s the second time Epicor has upped its outlook for the third-quarter after first doing so in July.
Shares of Epicor were up as muchas 6% early Wednesday before slumping with other technology stocks and closing down 2%.
The company had a recent market value of $560 million. The stock is up about 20% since the start of the year.
