Veritone Gets NCAA Audio Deal

Empowers content creators

AI software, applications and services provider Veritone today announced an agreement with ESPN to license its extensive archive of sports audio content from NCAA Div. I Championships. Financial details were not released.
“This collaboration allows ESPN to monetize its vast library, while also empowering content creators to tell richer, more engaging stories. This is a win for ESPN, a win for creators, and a win for the fans who can now experience these iconic moments in new ways,” Veritone CEO Ryan Steelberg said in a statement about the arrangement.
Several of Veritone’s (Nasdaq: VERI) key executives are based in Irvine, while its headquarters are in Denver.
Shares in Veritone closed up 3.7% at $5.91 apiece for a market cap of $414 million.
