WHO: Founded Antis Roofing and Waterproofing in 1989, a provider of roofing, waterproofing and decking services for homeowner’s associations and multi-family residential communities in Southern California. The firm counts 160 employees across the counties of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino.
WHY: Founded the Antis Foundation in 2016 as the philanthropic entity of Antis Roofing and Waterproofing. Antis in 2020 partnered with Wahoo’s Fish Taco co-founder Wing Lam and 95.5 KLOS to start the California Love Drop initiative, which delivers food to healthcare workers and first responders. Antis often schedules employees to use their company trucks, tools and abilities to support several nonprofits with their skilled labor such as Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. He also started hosting blood drives at the company’s Irvine headquarters during 2020 with the American Red Cross, which remain ongoing. Antis sits on the board of California State University, Fullerton’s Center for Leadership.
IN THE NEWS: Antis and Capital Campaign co-chair Katie Rucker led a $15M fundraiser in May to open the current construction project at Ronald McDonald House Orange County Charities by this fall (see story, page 1).
NOTABLE: Has hosted 123 blood drives as of May since starting in 2020 when Antis learned that blood collection plummeted when typical host businesses and schools were closed due to the pandemic. Also has donated the roof installation for every Habitat for Humanity OC home for the past 13 years.
