WHY: Career spanning two decades as chief executive of several public and private healthcare companies, several in OC, with an emphasis on “bringing healthcare into the future.”
BOARD WORK: Currently serves as chairman of one of OC’s longest-running software and services firms, NextGen Healthcare Inc. (Nasdaq: NXGN), a healthcare software provider that will enter its 50th year of business next year. Also chairman and former CEO of Welltok, the consumer activation company, and serves on the boards of Orange’s Alignment Healthcare, and is a director at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian.
FUTURE PLANS: Recently joined Blackstone as a senior adviser to guide investments and advance innovations in healthcare and information technology.
