FUTURE PLANS: Eyeing a new, 532,000-square-foot life science office campus in Irvine that aims to boost Orange County stature in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors against nearby markets like San Diego. The four-building development, dubbed Academy Point, would be the largest life science office campus of its type in Orange County. Irvine Co. hasn’t disclosed a timeline for starting that project, which would be next to UCI Research Park.
