LOS ANGELES ANGELS

WHY: Named the ninth president of the Los Angeles Angels, taking over day-to-day business operations including marketing, communications and revenue strategy.

IN THE NEWS: Promoted in March, succeeding John Carpino, and becoming the first woman to hold the president title in franchise history. Entering her 26th year with the organization, she previously served as senior vice president of finance and administration.

NOTABLE: A former financial manager at ARCO who managed team mergers for BPAmoco; also worked at the Walt Disney Company and the Anaheim Ducks. She brings extensive experience in administration and strategic planning to the baseball club. A graduate of the College of Holy Cross with an MBA at UCLA.
