Tilly’s Life Center Turns to Virtual Classroom

Tilly’s Life Center in Irvine is leaning on digital, like many others, to stay connected with its audience.

The non-profit, started by retailer Tilly’s Inc. (NYSE: TLYS) co-founder Tilly Levine, has launched a virtual classroom program called “I Am Me.” The 12-session program is focused on goal setting, self-confidence and stress management.

Participants are grouped in classes based on age: one for 13- to 17-year-olds and another for ages 18 to 28.

Tilly’s Life Center was started in 2012, with a focus on youth empowerment. Last year the group moved into its Irvine facility, a donation from Tilly’s Inc. and its CEO Ed Thomas. The space, totaling nearly 6,000 square feet, hosts workshops and other programs.
