Service Champions to Buy Denver-area HVAC Company

Brea firm acquires M and M Heating with 30 employees

Brea-based Service Champions Group, one of the nation’s biggest plumbing, heating and cooling companies, said it has agreed to acquire family-operated M and M Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical of Longmont, Colorado.

M and M, which was started in 1998 by Eric Meiers, has about 30 employees who specialize in indoor air quality solutions for residential and commercial properties. It’s the second acquisition in the Denver area as last year Service Champions acquired Swan Heating and Air Conditioning Inc.

“The acquisition of M and M expands our ability to better deliver compelling services to more consumers in greater Denver,” Service Champions Chief Executive Frank DiMarco said in a statement.

“M and M is a trusted brand.”
Leland Smith, who founded Service Champions in 2000, built it to more than 2,000 employees with businesses in 18 states and is now its chairman. The company goes to market with several trade names including Adeedo!, ASI, Bell Brothers, and Howard Air.
