Resources Connection Inc. in Irvine saw net income of $8.9 million for its May quarter, a 65% jump from the year-ago period.
The company’s revenue was about flat at $145.5 million for the quarter.
The firm saw profit of $41.1 million for its fiscal year ended in May, a 66% gain from the previous year.
Shares of the company were steady in early trading today, with a market value of about $503 million.
Resources Connection operates as Resources Global Professionals, which provides consulting services on finance, accounting and other management areas. It’s the largest management consulting firm in Orange County, with 207 employees here. It employs more than 3,000 workers companywide.
The firm initiated a round of stock buybacks last quarter, purchasing 534,000 shares of common stock for $7 million.
