San Diego-based civil litigators Tyson & Mendes have opened an OC office in the Irvine Business Complex under managing partner Richard Somes.
The new office has three attorneys and plans to have 10 by year-end. Tyson & Mendes have been expanding up the coast, several news reports said, including taking larger space this spring in downtown L.A. and buying a building in the Bay Area in July to expand its office there. It also entered Florida and expanded in Denver in 2017.
Tyson, an insurance defense practice, has 140 lawyers firmwide and says it will add 90 this year. Local digs are on Von Karman, between McGaw and Main. Savills Studley repped the tenant.
Somes was previously with Koeller, Nebeker, Carlson, Haluck in Irvine.
