Frank Talarico, Jr. resigned after six years as president and chief executive of Goodwill of Orange County, effective April 9, the nonprofit said in a letter by Board Chairman Dick Trueblood.
He also served on the group’s board and is on the Business Journal’s OC 500.
The Santa Ana-based organization is the largest nonprofit in OC with about $123 million in annual revenue, 1,600 employees, and 600 volunteers, according to Business Journal research.
Goodwill works mainly to help people, often including veterans and the underprivileged, find jobs. It serves about 22,500 people a year.
Talarico has also been president and chief executive of JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano for three years and a foundation director and board member locally for PGA of America.
Trueblood highlighted Goodwill’s efforts in ecommerce, expanding its retail stores, including ones that sell higher-end and boutique products, and the recent creation of the group’s Tierney Center for Veteran Services.
