Erin Freeman will leave her post as senior vice president of communications for Newport Beach-based developer Irvine Company to become chief communications officer for Farmers Insurance in Los Angeles.
Freeman will start her new job on Sept. 17.
Irvine Co. is expected to conduct a search for a replacement.
“Over the past two years at the Irvine Company, I have felt privileged to work with the most experienced and respected real estate professionals in the business and to have done some of the most exciting work of my career,” Freeman said, adding that “this is an exciting time in the insurance business and for Farmers.”
