Minneapolis-based law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP has named Chris Dubia as the new head of the firm’s Southern California office in Costa Mesa.
Dubia takes the place of Juan Basombrio, who has been promoted as co-head of Dorsey’s recently formed international practice group.
Dubia joined Dorsey in 2010, before which he headed his own firm. He specializes in commercial, business and real estate litigation.
Basombrio will stay in Costa Mesa and will oversee marketing and business development for the new group. He also is co-chair of the firm’s international arbitration and litigation practice. He has worked with matters involving more than 25 countries, including Mexico, Germany, Turkey and Japan.
Dorsey has international practices in a number of regions, including Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
