Some assets of Costa Mesa-based engineering firm Marmac Field Services Inc. have been acquired by Jacobs Engineering Group in Pasadena.
Terms were undisclosed.
Privately held Marmac doesn’t disclose financial information and could not be reached for comment. It specializes in pipeline engineering services and caters to utility and gas industries in the Western U.S.
Jacobs, which has an office in Irvine, is among the largest engineering companies globally, with about $7.86 billion in recent market value. It had more than $11 billion in revenue for the year through June. Its Orange County operations accounted for about $7 million of the total.
