The Westminster Mall has named Rajeev K. Chhabra as general manager.
Chhabra replaces Mark Halbach, who is no longer with Indianapolis-based parent company Simon Property Group Inc.
Chhabra oversees leasing, marketing and operations among other duties at the 125-store center.
Chhabra comes to the Westminster Mall after having served as assistant mall manager of Simon Property’s The Domain and The Arboretum malls in Austin, Texas. He previously worked in Simon Property’s financial operations division at the company’s headquarters.
Westminster Mall added The Limited, Victoria’s Secret Pink and Cotton On earlier this year in addition to some existing tenant remodels at Victoria’s Secret and Hot Topic. The mall is set to add a T.G.I. Friday’s and Cups Frozen Yogurt in early 2013. Both are currently under construction.
Westminster Mall hopes to announce additional store openings early next year, according to the center’s director of marketing and business development Lindsay Hermance.
The mall saw taxable sales for the 12 months ended in June down 1.3% to $266.1 million.
