South Coast Plaza has confirmed that Japanese fast-fashion retailer Uniqlo will open at the Costa Mesa shopping center in the fall.
It’s the retailer’s first Southern California location. Uniqlo has 17 stores in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut along with five stores in Northern California.
The store will carry clothing for men, women and children.
Uniqlo is part of Japan-based Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., which also makes and sells clothing under the Helmut Lang, J Brand and Theory brands among others.
Shopping and retail site Racked LA reported earlier this week that the retailer had inked a lease at the shopping center, but a South Coast spokesperson declined to comment on the report.
