Two Australian-born indoor entertainment concepts, Hijinx Hotel and Holey Moley Golf Club, opened at the Irvine Spectrum Center on Dec. 12.
Parent company and brand operator Funlab took over a 35,000-square-foot space that formerly housed a 24 Hour Fitness across from the Regal movie theater at the shopping center. This marks Funlab’s entry into the Orange County market and the company’s first U.S. flagship for Hijinx Hotel.
The Hijinx Hotel venue offers 15 challenge rooms that have interactive games where groups of two to six people can play together and compete. Holey Moley has 27 pop culture themed holes divided into three miniature golf courses that players can choose from. There will also be themed drinks and food served at both outposts.
“There’s an insatiable appetite for entertainment and experiences in this country. And so, we knew that if we have the right concepts that we could really do well here,” Funlab’s Global Chief Executive Blaise Witnish told the Business Journal.
